The school strongly believes that bringing up children is a collaborative task which requires shared values and understanding between homes and the school. Q.F.I. School educational goals related to parents and local community are strongly supported. We encourage parents’ involvement and welcome them to be the pillar of home—school co-operation. The school has an active Parent Association, which is an independent part of the school structure.
The purpose of the Association is:
to enrich the children's education by promoting parental involvement in supporting school policies and programs in a constructive way
to maintain and foster a constructive partnership between staff and parents in the interests of the school and children
to act as a vehicle for discussion, learning and positive action
to enhance programs offered by Q.F.I. School
to work toward achieving these aims through fundraising and other activities.
The Parent Association is carried on without purpose of gain for its members, and any profits or other gains to the organization shall be used in promoting its objectives.
In the beginning of the academic year, the PA will nominate the chairman and class representatives for all classes to enhance effective communication between school and parents. The PA may form sub committees within itself to carry out various tasks throughout the year. During the Academic Year 2021-2022, the school will continue to work to maintain and develop positive and effective cooperation with the Parent Association.
The school plans its annual events in collaboration with the Parent Association. In some events, the school has the main responsibility while in others the PA has the leading role. The Parent Association plays a major role when arranging International Day, Winter Fest, and Charity walk/Sports Day activities. Even during the blended learning period in AY 2020-2021, we were able to arrange specific theme days in collaboration with the PA, for example Character Day, World Book Day, and Mental Health Day, partly onsite, partly online.
