The overall language of instruction in Qatar-Finland International School is English apart from Arabic mother tongue and Islamic studies in Arabic.
In Qatar-Finland International School, students are heterogenous when it comes to their level of proficiency in the English language. English language skills are developed and assessed through multiple approaches in reading, writing, listening, speaking, and multi-literacy. Our teachers deploy an approach called Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) to support and develop students’ language skills.
We emphasize the value of foreign language studies:
According to our language program students can choose studies in Arabic, French or Spanish. The program includes a compulsory advanced level language (A1) and a standard level language (B1).
